Ah, new beginnings, and a season that will surprise you with its abundance. It’s also the time for one of my all-time favourite cabbages: the January King.

JUST IN: brussels sprouts, clementines & other citrus, Jerusalem artichoke, persimmons

STAYING IN SEASON: apples, beetroot, butternut squash & other squash/pumpkins, carrots, cauliflower, celeriac, chestnuts, cranberries, garlic, horseradish, January King cabbage, kale, leeks, onions, parsnips, pears, peppers, pomegranates, quince, radicchio, red cabbage, romanesco cauliflower, savoy cabbage, salsify, sorrel, spinach, truffles, swede, turnips, white cabbage

LAST MONTH TO ENJOY: chard, loganberries, wild mushrooms
